West Java Ready to Welcome The Champions of PPSP
BANDUNG – West Java Province is ready to host the event of Advocacy and Horizontal Learning (AHL) which will be held alongside the Regencies and Cities Alliance for Better Sanitation (AKKOPSI) on March 25, which will come, supported by the Association of Indonesian Provincial Government (APPSI), PMU and PIU of Accelerated of Sanitation Development for Human Settlement Program (PPSP), and Urban Sanitation Development Program (USDP).
This time, the AHL theme is, ‘Proper Sanitation as Preventive Health Efforts Towards Indonesia Universal Access on Sanitation for 2020′. AHL is one of routine advocacy activities conducted by AKKOPSI to the regional head as well as a forum to share experiences and knowledge among key actors in order to inspire each other. Currently AHL also intended to monitor the strengthening of 348 Regional Head, members of AKKOPSI, in realizing the commitment of at least 2% allocation of local direct budget for the sanitation sector.
This learning event is planned to be opened by the Minister of Health, Nila Djuwita F. Moeloek and presenting 10 Governors ‘Champion’ of PPSP program along with Chairperson of Provincial Sanitation Working Group or related local government officers, 70 Regional Head who has done an update of SSK/MPS according to 2020 target, the PMU and PIU of PPSP program, the related Ministry/Agency, and Sanitation Partnership Group also.
When met by the AKKOPSI Board on March 12th, 2015 in his office, the Governor of West Java, H. Ahmad Heryawan, has agreed the readiness of West Java Province to host the event of AHL. Governor who was familiarly called Aher was also expressed his readiness to share about Advocacy Sanitation Budget Allocations of West Java Province in the Panel Discussion. West Java Province is considered quite daring to allocate big budget for sanitation in 2015. Besides Aher, Governor of East Java, Pakde Karwo, will also share about Budget Allocation Mechanism to Regencies/Cities in East Java (USDP/AR/SL)
